Overview

The Kedarnath Yatra (3N/4D) typically begins from Haridwar or Dehradun and includes a scenic drive to Guptkashi on Day 1, with stops at Devprayag and Rudraprayag. Day 2 involves a journey to Kedarnath, either by trekking or using helicopter services, followed by darshan at the sacred Kedarnath Temple and an overnight stay nearby. On Day 3, pilgrims return to Guptkashi after a morning temple visit. The final day includes the return journey to Haridwar or Dehradun, often with sightseeing at Rishikesh landmarks like Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula.

Itinerary

  • DAY 1 : Haridwar To Guptkashi

    • (Drive -205 Km /08 Hours Approx.)
    •  Today start your journey to Guptkashi from Haridwar
      and overnight stay at in hotel
  • DAY 2 : Guptkashi To Gaurikund

    • (Drive- 30Kms/02 Hrs approx) Gaurikund TO
      Kedarnath (17Kms trek- one way)
    • Start the drive at 0530 hrs sharp to Gaurikund.
      Sonprayag is the closest stop before Gaurikund at
      distance of 06Kms. Private Vehicles are allowed only
      till Sonprayag. (Hire the local vehicle from
      Sonprayag to Gaurikund)
    •  Upon arrival start the trek on the zigzag and well
      laid trail to Kedarnath or there are other options of
      pony or Doli available on rent.
    • On arrival check-in at hotel, freshen up and visit
      Kedarnath Ji. Pay homage to divine statue of Nandi
      bull, located at the temple entrance gate. Attend
      the evening Arti and offer your prayers to Lord
      Shiva.
    •  You can also visit Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi, the
      grave of Adi Guru Shankaracharya, located at the
      premises of Kedarnath temple which is also one of
      the most popular spot at Kedarnath. After offering
      prayers get back to hotel for an overnight stay.
    • Kedarnath Dham is one of the pre-eminent divine
      temple of Lord Shiva. Temple is situated in a breathtaking location, near the source of Mandakini River.
      Kedarnath temple is highest located among the 12
      Jyotirlingas and is also the most important temple
      among the Panch Kedars (group of five Shiva temples
      in Garhwal Himalayas).
  • DAY 3 : Kedarnath To Guptkashi

    • (Drive – 120 Kms/05 Hrs approx.)
    • In the morning participate the arti at and abhishek
      at Kedarnath temple & take blessing from
      Kedarnath ji. Latter after breakfast trek down to
      same way where you come from. On arrival
      Gaurikund Drive to Guptkashi and check into a
      hotel followed by dinner & overnight stay
  • DAY 4 : Guptkashi To Haridwar

    • (Drive – 200 Kms/5 Hrs approx.)
    • In the morning after having breakfast drive towards
      Haridwar via Rishikesh. On arrival it’s time to
      conclude the lifetime religious tour of Chardham.
